Amazon Quartet

Junjun, Parapara, Selesele, Besubesu

The Amazon Quartet are the servants of Zirconia and Queen Nehelenia in Sailor Moon Super S. Their names are Besubesu, Selesele, Junjun, and Parapara.

After the Amazon Trio left, the Amazon Quartet took over. Unlike their predecessors, they were fully aware of Queen Nehelenia's existence, as it was she who gave them their orbs (which gave them eternal childhood) when they found a dream mirror in the forest. They do not like the idea of growing up.

Like the Amazon Trio, they would each take it in turns to search for dream mirrors. Unlike the Amazon Trio, who had to look into the dream mirror to see if Pegasus was there, the Amazon Quartet knew (since Nehelenia told Zirconia) that the dream mirror of the holder of Pegasus would be gold.

Besubesu's Remless were always animal-themed, as she is an animal trainer. Selesele's Remless (though she only sent two) were always plant-themed, as she was a plant master. Junjun's Remless were always male, and Parapara would target several people at once. Her only male Remless was Mr. Magic Pierrot, whom she sent to kill the Amazon Trio in Episode 22, Eternal Dreams. Junjun is an acrobat and Parapara is a ball rider.

They often annoyed Zirconia, calling him names like "Zirc", "Zircy", "Zirco", "Zirc the Jerk", and "Zirc Face".

The Amazon Quartet and the Sailor Scouts discovered each others' identities in Episode 34, Day Of Night. They fought each other, and Parapara used a voodoo doll on them, until Tuxedo Mask attacked her, and Zirconia recalled the Amazon Quartet.

Their power was increased by Queen Nehelenia, and they fought the Sailor Scouts and gained the advantage, until Sailor Mini Moon summoned Pegasus, and Sailor Moon defeated them with Moon Gorgeous Meditation.

After Zirconia captured Sailor Mini Moon, the Amazon Trio switched her around with a doll created by Parapara, with the intent of riding Pegasus and taking his horn. When Zirconia found out, he imprisoned them in mirrors in another dimension. There, they began to feel like they were on the wrong side. When he was nearly defeated by the Sailor Scouts, Zirconia teleported the Amazon Quartet to him and drained their power. The Sailor Scouts convinced the Amazon Quartet to smash their orbs on the ground, giving up both eternal childhood and Nehelenia's power, thus Zirconia could no longer drain Nehelenia's power from them.

They later helped Sailor Moon fight Queen Nehelenia, by switching the golden crystal (which made Nehelenia unstoppable) around with a pineapple and giving it to Sailor Moon. After Nehelenia was defeated and left Earth for good, the Amazon Quartet distracted everyone from Rini and Pegasus by saying "Look, a UFO!" and decided to leave quietly, saying they might see the Sailor Scouts again sometime. The final episode was their final appearance.

Sailor Moon Eternal, which follows the manga more closely, the Amazon Quartet had been laying dormant in the Amazon Jungle before being found and awoken by Nehelenia, but also being trapped in a nightmare, being made to loyally serve her and Zirconia as the Amazon Quartet. During their invasion of Earth, the Quartet had their first encounter with the Sailor Guardians when Besubesu and Parapara confronted Usagi and Chibiusa. Though the two Sailor Guardians fight off the Lemures, when Mamoru collapses in pain, Parapara uses the moment to swap their ages. After that, the Quartet transform their circus animals into the Amazon Trio and send them after the Inner Guardians. Though they nearly overwhelm Mercury, Mars, and Jupiter, they are able to fight back and destroy the Amazon Trio, while a pair of Lemures that the Quartet send after Venus nearly overwhelm her alongside the Quartet before Artemis is able to help Venus, allowing her to transform and take out the Lemures. Unfortunately, the Quartet then ambush and capture the Inner Guardians and prepare to destroy them, only to have their plan thwarted when the Outer Guardians arrive and Uranus and Pluto free the Inner Guardians, much to the Quartet's fury.

After being forced to retreat, the Quartet later await Sailor Chibi Moon and Sailor Saturn as they enter the circus tent and are met by the Quartet. However, Saturn realizes that the Quartet are being brainwashed and reaches out to them, offering her hand in friendship. Although the Quartet seem to come to their senses and nearly accept Saturn's aid, Zirconia intervenes and, furious that the Quartet would turn on her, traps them back inside their crystals before placing Chibi Moon and Saturn in glass shards, before banishing all of them to Nehelenia's mirror. However, when the other Sailor Guardians arrive, Sailor Moon is able to break the mirror and free Chibi Moon and Saturn, who escape with the Quartet's crystals as well. After Nehelenia is destroyed by Eternal Sailor Moon, Saturn presents her with the Quartet's crystals and asks her to help them. Sailor Moon, as Neo Queen Serenity, grants Saturn's request and awakens the Quartet, returning them to their true forms as the Sailor Quartet, Chibiusa's future Sailor Guardians once she completes her own training as a Sailor Guardian. After Saturn promises to look after Chibi Moon until her training is complete, the Quartet return to their slumber until the time for their true awakening comes.

In Sailor Moon Cosmos, the Sailor Quartet join Chibi Moon as they travel back to the past to try and help Sailor Moon against Galaxia and her forces. However, despite their efforts, the Sailor Quartet are the only survivors of the Sailor Guardians alongside Chibi-Chibi after the rest of the Guardians, including Tuxedo Mask, have been slain, and Chibi Moon ceases to exist with the death of her father in the past. They and Chibi-Chibi, revealing herself to be Sailor Cosmos, watch as Sailor Moon sacrifices herself to destroy Chaos in the Galaxy Cauldron. This leads to Chaos' demise, and soon Sailor Moon, Tuxedo Mask, and the rest of the Sailor Guardians are revived, and Chibi Moon is restored as well with the past versions of her parents revived, thus restoring her existence. Sailor Cosmos returns the Sailor Quartet back to the 30th Century before returning to her own time period, and Chibiusa soon departs to rejoin them as well with her past and future restored.
