Moon Tiara Magic (also known as Moon Tiara Vaporize and Moon Tiara Action) is an offensive attack used by Sailor Moon to destroy enemies in the Sailor Moon anime. This signature move requires the use of the Moon Tiara.
She first uses the attack in Episode 1, A Moon Star is Born, to destroy the Negamonster Morga.
The Move[]
Sailor Moon will touch the ruby gem in the center (turning it white), remove the tiara from her forehead and turn it into an energy disk. She will then throw it like a discus while saying "Moon Tiara Magic!" and it would destroy any enemies it comes in contact with, turning them to dust.
Not only can the tiara destroy enemies, but it can also be used to bind and restrict monsters, or even attaching directly to drain them of their power.

Moon Tiara Magic combined with Mars Fire Ignite & Mercury Bubbles Blast from "An Animated Mess"
This move can also be combined with other attacks by the other Sailor Scouts to increase the strength. On more than one occasion, Sailor Mars' "Mars Fire Ignite" and Sailor Mercury's "Mercury Bubbles Blast" have been added to defeat stronger enemies.
Although it is a powerful attack, the Negaverse Henchman Jedite, was able to stop it in mid-flight, and the monster Leo the Lion survived a direct hit.

Moon Tiara Magic losing power in mid-attack
In Sailor Moon R, the tiara lost its power, but Sailor Moon gained a new finishing move with the Moon Scepter: Moon Scepter Elimination.
In Sailor Moon S, Sailor Moon uses her tiara to free Sailor Venus from Hikyun's net trap, against Mimet in "Mimet's Mess" to knock the magic staff out of her hand, and against Cyprin & Petirol in Wake Up Call in an attempt to destroy their staffs.
In Sailor Moon Super S it is used to shatter Zirconia's illusions in "The Dark Legend", and for the final time to defeat a Bonbon Baby in "Black Dream Hole".
As monsters became more powerful, the less useful Moon Tiara Magic became, where it resulted in acting as a distraction, or causing only minor damage to an enemy.

- Moon Tiara Action, which is the name of the original Japanese attack, is used in "Mimet's Mess" in Sailor Moon S.
- When confronted by Sailor Mercury in "An Animated Mess", Neflite referred to Sailor Moon as a "Frisbee-throwing brat", implying to the Tiara's transformation into an energy disk. Unlike a Frisbee, however, the Tiara does NOT return to Sailor Moon.
- The last instance of Moon Tiara Magic was used in The Dark Legend (TV) and Black Dream Hole (film).
- The musical instruments used for its first music of "Moon Tiara Magic" in the DiC English dub were the Roland drum machines such as the TR-909 (Bass Drum, and Closed Hi-hats), the TR-808 (Maraca) and the R-70 (snare drum).
