Related by Destiny is the 17th episode of Sailor Moon S. It was preceded by People Who Need People and followed by Art Appreciation.
Plot
Eugeal sets her sights on a runner named Elza Gray, and Doctor Tomoe creates a Daimon from a racing sign in his Heart Snatcher oven, which Eugeal takes in a box and drives off.
Serena, Amy, Raye, Lita, and Mina meet Elza, who once lost a race to Amara. Amara, meanwhile, remembers when she raced against Elza and when she first had visions of the Silence destroying the world. Eugeal attacks Elza, and the girls all transform to stop her, so she releases the Daimon named Hurdler, who traps the Sailor Scouts with threads and extracts Elza's Pure Heart. Amara informs Michelle of this, and experiences a flashback to when she first became Sailor Uranus.
One day, Amara found a kid who became trapped inside a hideous monster. The Uranus stick appeared in front of Amara, but Michelle warned her that her life would change forever if she touched it. Michelle transformed into Sailor Neptune and attacked the monster. Amara yelled at Sailor Neptune for attacking the monster so hard when the kid was trapped inside it. The monster returned and injured Sailor Neptune, who protected Amara from its attack. However, she was able to destroy it with Deep Submerge, releasing the kid unharmed. Afterward, Amara chose to take the stick and transform into Sailor Uranus.
Back in the present, Amara and Michelle transform into Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune, take the Pure Heart from Eugeal, and release the Sailor Scouts. They attack Hurdler with World Shaking and Deep Submerge, and Sailor Moon destroys Hurdler with Moon Spiral Heart Attack. Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune find that Elza's Pure Heart does not possess power so they return it to her.

Trivia
- The monster that Sailor Neptune fought in the past does not appear to be connected with the Heart Snatchers in any way. It is likely that this was one of many monsters of a different organization that Sailor Neptune had to fight, because she says that the possessed ones (such as the kid) usually return to normal once the monster is destroyed.
