Toei Animation Co., Ltd., is an Japanese animation studio. It has produced many famous animated series, including Dragonball, Saint Seiya, Digimon, One Piece, and Sailor Moon.
The animation studio was founded by Kenzou Masaoka and Zenjirou Yamamoto on January 23, 1948, as Japan Animated Films, then became Toei Animation in 1956. Toei's headquarters is in Oizumi, Nerima, Tokyo, Japan and is a division of the Toei Company.
